A mini app for the World App ecosystem

Fortune Teller is a playful mini app that turns quick mystical readings into a shareable experience. Users pick a card to reveal their aura or trust the marble to reveal their fate.

I designed the full experience: interaction flow, interface, visual direction, and the tone of the predictions. The goal was to make something that feels magical the moment you open it but simple enough to come back to.

Turning identity verification into play

World ID is usually associated with verification and security. In Fortune Teller the idea was to present it differently. The magic marble is generated using the user's World ID, which makes each reading feel personal without exposing the technical layer.

Instead of “verify your identity” the interaction becomes “let the marble reveal your fate.” Same technology, completely different feeling.

Designing a reason to come back

Many mini apps are easy to try but also easy to forget. Fortune Teller uses a Stardust system where each reading costs one token. Users start with a few and can top up when they run out.

This creates a natural loop: open the app, spend a token, get a reading worth sharing. The scarcity makes each reading feel more valuable rather than disposable.

What happened

Since launch, Fortune Teller has reached 47,381 users and holds a 4.4 rating on World App. It is a small product but it showed how much tone and personality can shape an experience. When the design, interaction, and content all support the same idea, even a simple app becomes something people enjoy coming back to.
